Tom Lawes gives a rare insight to his business on 9th December 2008 at SAE Institute Oxford. From former Head of Audio Visual at Sega UK to Cinema Owner, Tom has become an influential voice within the midlands media industry. He will be giving a presentation on the current climate within the industry and his thoughts on the future of media production and answering questions on his business... One not to be missed!

Chris Lake

Chris Lake, internationally renowned DJ / Producer visited SAE Oxford in November 2008. To a capacity lecture theatre, Chris gave an amazing insight into the life and workings of an in-demand DJ / Producer, explaining his studio setup and production tips and tricks, and an in-depth breakdown of his label / business structure and key relationships that go with his success. From his breakthrough track "Changes" he has become one of the hottest house producers in the world and is currently working on projects with newer artistes such as Deadmaus. With an international perspective on the record industry, Chris explained his release and marketing strategies for his own record label "Rising Music" and the increasing importance of his hugely successful "Chris Lake Podcast". Joined by his wife and featured singer Gita, Chris proved extremely popular and spent nearly an extra hour answering questions and discussing the music industry with the students.

Author / Blogger / New Music Industry Expert Andrew Dubber visited SAE Oxford for a guest lecture slot in November 2008. Andrew delivered an inspirational presentation of anecdotes and personal observations on a music industry in the middle of seismic change with the advent of the internet and a changing business model. Often challenging the audience with radical ideas and provoking lively debate, his talk certainly left an impression on all who attended, leaving everyone with no doubt as to why he has become one of the most popular and influential guest speakers / bloggers on the topic.
