Enrolment - Student Guide
Any applicants educated outside the UK system should forward copies of their qualifications along with their CV. Translations of transcripts and certificates should be provided if they are not in English. For the SAE Diploma Level, we need applicants to have at least the equivalent of UK GCSE Level in General Education, including English Language and Mathematics. An US High School Diploma or GED would be suitable.
For our Middlesex University validated Degree Programmes we do require a higher level of attainment. The equivalent of UK A Levels is nearer the US Associates Degree in level. US Applicants should send transcripts and any Advanced College Placement SATS for assessment. Applicants from countries with 12 years of education before receiving a Diploma or similar qualification (e.g. Israel, Colombia) should meet the general entry requirement for Degree Entry.
All applicants do need to have their application assessed and prior to an application being fully examined we cannot guarantee acceptance.
International Students (without EU Passports) normally need to apply and enrol on Full Time programmes in order to meet the requirements for a UK Study Visa. Our Full Time Diploma and Degree Programmes are therefore available to International Applicants.
Applicants must apply in plenty of time for the intake they are applying for. We recommend between 4 and 6 months prior to the Course Commencement (but applicants may apply as early as they wish). After receiving the Registration Form, Registration Fee, Photographs and supporting documentation (CV, Transcripts, References etc.) we aim to process within 5 working days (longer at busier times). If any supporting documentation is not included, this will be requested via email. If an applicant meets the entry requirements and is fully accepted (and if their Registration Form is fully completed, signed and accompanied by the Registration Fee) - an Enrolment Confirmation Letter will be sent via post (and also an email Confirmation will be sent).
Registration Fees (and later Course Fees) can be sent as a GBP Cheque or Money Order, or confirmation can be sent with the Registration Form of a Credit/Debit Card Payment made via telephone to SAE London (when making a payment for SAE Oxford, please state this clearly) or of a payment by Bank Transfer. Please contact SAE Oxford for details on paying when you ready to do so.
The application process can be delayed if an application does not include the required supporting documentation, so do not forget to include you CV, Transcripts (translation too, if required) and references.
